This project is perfectly located in the central of Kuala Lumpur and it is nearby to most of the public transportation infrastructure. The site is an almost a circular/ oval site which measures approximately 5acres. Every mosque will be oriented purposely on site with the front facing towards the Qibla with an angle of 292 degrees. The Mosque is located in front of a 5acre town park and the existing road goes under the park, which will allow the park to be connected to the Mosque. By having the park directly connected to the Mosque, the faithful (approximately 3 000 to 4 000 people) can be safely and conveniently dispersed to the park after the Friday Prayers. The building is perfectly designed to suit the Green Building concept and targeting to acquire the Green Building Index with Silver Rating. This special Mosque will be the first Green Certified Mosque in the world and also inscribed design that will infuse two different of cultures as one art.

The main building will have a lower ground (level 1) to house the various amenities, such as male and female ablution with separate toilets, multipurpose hall, exhibition area, seminar room and admin offices.

At level 2, is the Main Prayer Hall, which can accommodate approximately 2 800 people. It is raised up from the ground and accessible via ramps and staircases.

Level 3, prayer area is dedicated to women praying area, which can be used as male prayer area during Friday Prayers.

Level 4, which is a ‘green’ roof top, can also be used as an additional praying area which can accommodate approximately 1 500 people. The roof top is accessible via 4 staircases. This concept is similar to the rooftop praying area in Masjidil Haram in Mecca.

A very unique design, combination of Chinese and Islamic Art are used in a modern and contemporary rendition and interpretation of what is often referred as traditional sense. The building is a pentagon 5 sided shape and raised up to tilted at an angle of 54 degrees. This shape symbolises a Chinese rice bowl that represents offerings of universal unity, nourishment and harmony to all different communities. The tilted facade also offers an excellent sun shading method to shade the interior spaces from direct sunlight thus creating unnecessary heat gain.

The building has six rooftop ventilation fans. One huge ventilation fan is located in the middle of the dome and the other five are located around the interior. These ventilation fans will create negative pressure inside the Mosque and will force the outside air to flow through the building via main door and window openings. Fresh air intake will be pre-cooled by the induced draft effect through the trees or landscape and water features surrounding the Mosque.
