Paul graduated from University of Houston in 1983 and worked for 5 years
in RDS International in Houston. He then returned to Sabah and began his local experience at Billings Leong & Rex Koh, in Kota Kinabalu, for 5 years. Paul then decided to gain additional working experience oversees and worked in CA Architects in Toronto, Canada, for a year. He returned to Sabah the following year and was made director of Billings Leong & Tan in 1994. In 1994 he started Paul Lau Akitek, and later became an Associated Director of ATSA Architects to oversee our projects in Sabah.

• Chalets, Borneo Golf and Country Club, Bongawan.
• 9 story Budget Hotel, Tawau
• 100 units Apartment block, Putatant
• 180 Units Apartment Block Inanam
