Joseph Sim En Miang graduated from Liverpool School of Architecture with honours in 1978. Since then he has had experience working in the private sector in England and Malaysia, as well as in the Malaysian Public Works Department.
In 1983, he set up his sole proprietorship which evolved into a partnership of architects and planner in 1988, and in 1991 was eventually incorporated into the company Sim. Odita. Muhammad (SOM). From 2003 to end of 2006, Joseph Sim designed and built residential houses in New Zealand. For his architectural contribution to the state, he was awarded the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) by the Governor of Sarawak, Malaysia. |
