Background Information
An extension to the existing Islamic Museum Complex located at the fringe of the Lake Garden in Kuala Lumpur.

Design Approach
This 4 storey building is actually a separate building located next to the main Islamic Museum Building. The design employs a rich tapestry of Islamic architectural planning and influences such as the use of lattice screen in the façade treatment with strong geometric patterns.

This building together with the original Islamic Museum will, eventually complement each other and make up part of an Integrated Islamic Complex in Malaysia.

The building main feature is its large arched entrance which opens up into a grand triple neight lobby. The grand lobby also opens up to an outdoor landscape plaza which overlooks a panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur. The central lobby connects the east and west wing of the building. The east and west wing is also connect at the upper floors and by the roof garden.

A large glass is placed central done on top of the grand lobby to being diffused light into the spaces below.
