Background Information
The town center is located next to a designated site (Site A) for foreign embassies, which is situated within the new administrative center of Malaysia. It is to be a development that would be likened to the famous and vibrant Bangsar neighborhood in Kuala Lumpur. It will have an active day and night active street life enliven by small offices, shops and sidewalk cafes which cater for the expected expatriate community that will reside here in the future.

Design Approach
The town center will consists of mixture of 2, 3 and 4 storey Commercial Shop Offices and various residential town houses. Architecturally, our client requested that it would be treated as a themed development using diverse styles such as Moorish, Chinese, Malay and Colonial styles to reflect the multi-cultural “Truly Asia” concept.

The various height differences of the buildings are purposely designed to reminisce the traditional colonial shophouse found in many towns and cities in Malaysia. These units are staggered arbitrarily to create an interesting street facade.

The Town Center, Phase 1, expected to be completed in 2005, is specially designed to attract cafe, bars and entertainment outlets with generous pedestrian sidewalks as the key features.
