Aidil Adha or Eid al-Adha also known as Hari Raya Haji or Hari Raya Korban is one of the Islamic festivities celebrated by all Muslims throughout the world. It is celebrated on 10th of Zulhijjah, the last month of Hijrah (Islamic) calendar. Aidil Adha is celebrated to mark the sacrifices done by the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) on his son, Prophet Ismail (Ishmael) as asked by the God. Ishmael was eventually unharmed and substituted by a slaughtered sheep. On the morning of Aidil Adha, Muslims will be performing Eid prayer at mosques or large fields. It is followed by the slaughter activity of halal domestic animals, i.e. cow, buffalo, goat, sheep or camel by affluent Muslims or organisations. The raw meats then will be distributed or cooked for the less fortunate Muslims.
