Restoration of a Kampong House Gopeng, Perak [ click the pictures for bigger view ]
A trunk road widening exercise required that this 80 year old Malay house in the old of Perak style, located on an eleven acre durian orchard site in Gopeng, Perak had to be moved to another suitable location within the orchard. The house will be dismantled and re-erected using the same technique when it was first built. Minimal replacement will be made to original building materials as not to lose its historical value.

A new wing or annexe will be built separately, with a link to the main house. It will cater for modern amenities, as this historical house will eventually be converted into a weekend retreat for the new owner.
